Atex directive 2014/34/EU and Maximator products
New ATEX directive 2014/34/EU The new ATEX directive 2014/34/EU comes into force at the 20th of April 2016 and replaces the old directive 94/9/EC. Maximator has taken this as an opportunity to declare the ATEX conformity for all high pressure pumps, boosters and air amplifiers by default.
From 20th April 2016 and with a few exceptions, all devices will be classified as follows:
II 2G/2D IIB c TX
G…-, G…-D-, G…-2-, GSF-Pumps,
DLE…**, 8DLE…**
MPLV…-, SPLV…, GPLV…
II 2G/2D IIC c TX
MO…-, MO…D-, S…-, S…D-, M…-, MSF…-,
M…D-, M…-2-, M…-3-, S…-SS-,
GPD…-, GPD…-2-, GX…-Pumps,
DLE …**, 8DLE…**
* Regarding the classification of the devices into the mentioned category, Maximator would like to point out that changes to the devices such as painting or other special wishes can have an effect to the classification.
** DLEs will be classified into the category II 2G/2D IIB c TX by default. On request all devices can be executed as II 2G/2D IIC c TX.
